Wall 624
Wall 624 was changed from an MSE wall to a PCRS wall. The wall was constructed in the Rose Creek drainage channel with potentially high flood levels and scour, and some poor foundation soil conditions. The wall also had to support large freight train surcharge loading (4 Cooper E80 loaded train tracks).
The PCRS wall consisted of a monolithic horizontal and vertical counterfort system with up to 2 tiers and had to be integrated into an existing sloped concrete drainage channel that runs along the toe of the wall. Wall 624 was approximately 1,600 feet long for a total 13,000 square feet of retaining wall.
